The Sailing Instructions for the ISORA Race 5 – Douglas to  Dun Laoghaire scheduled for Sunday 8th June  (80 mile Offshore) available here

There will be a warm welcome in Douglas - full details toinclude the following:

 NOTES – Arrival in Douglas

There will be a team of Sea Cadets position at the Douglas Breakwater / Visitors Pontoon to augment finishing boats. Cadets role is to “meet and greet” all the boats arriving, and be their point of contact. We will have hot soup, coffee and tea + “Welcome Pack” advising of the AGENDA of the IOM Weekend. Cadets are locals who are only too happy to help.

There will be a SEA CADETS mini bus parked at the visitors pontoon to ferry crews between boats and showers, for the duration of races I.e. whole 7th June

Showers and toilets are free of charge this time, and will be dedicated for the ISORA crews

There is a small sea cadets work boat ready to tow boats with engine problems

ANY BOAT ARRIVING MUST CALL DOUGLAS HARBOUR CONTROL ON CHANNEL 12 to get permission to enter harbour.

Participants of Liverpool to Douglas Midnight race – these should start arriving from 0600 on the 7th throughout the day (weather dependant)

Participants of Douglas to DL race only – arriving any time (actually it would be good to know their ETAs – could they send rough estimates to )

Any other boats visiting IOM

Boats arriving on the 6th (participants of Douglas to DL) between 1645 and 1915 will be able to go through the bridge into the Main Marina, where Marina staff will allocate their berths (double or triple banking most likely J - we are very busy – it is TT after all). Outside of these times boats will need to tie up to the visitors pontoon – rafting will be most likely

Boats arriving on the 07th between 0445 and 0815 (First Liverpool boats) will go through the bridge, from 0815 till 1745 arrivals will be asked to tie up to the visitors pontoon.

Boats arriving after 1745 on the 7th will be able to go through the bridge until 2045. All boats berthed at the pontoon should also make their way into the Main Marina

Douglas Bay Yacht Club will be opened for all the visitors throughout 07th June for drinks, showers, internet etc., etc.

ISORA / TRANMARE BBQ (£5 per head) will be held for all participants at 1900 on the 7th with drinks starting at 1700 in Douglas Bay Yacht Club. At 2000 the Mayor of Douglas, Councillor Stanley Cain will pay a visit
